Dizziness in early pregnqncy

Since yesterday evening I have been having occasions of dizziness. I will be stood up and suddenly feel lightheaded as though I’m going to collapse. I’m only 5+ weeks.

I have been pregnant once before in Feb-April, it ended in a miscarriage, however in that I wasn’t dizzy at all and I’m just slightly concerned. Has anyone else had this in early pregnancy?

Im on holiday until Saturday, so I’m also hoping it stays manageable until then

Oh yes! I’m 30+5 today and still get bouts of dizziness quite regularly have done since very early pregnancy. I asked my midwife about it but she brushed it off and didn’t seem concerned in the slightest. I have just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes but I don’t think they’re related really. But I do find standing up for too long can make me feel like I’m going to hit the deck, I get hot and sweaty, instant headache sore back of the neck/head and just feel rubbish! Passes quickly but it’s been one of the worst things about pregnancy for me

Low blood pressure caused me to feel like this during both early pregnancies and late pregnancies. Drink lots and lots of water. Congratulations!

Totally normal op, low blood pressure. Moshe sure you eat and drink enough and stand up slowly. It'll pass as your body adjusts more to the changes going on xx

It's to do with low blood pressure, all my midwife said is to sit/lie down and it'll get better

Totally normal due to low blood pressure, it might also be made worse if your iron levels are low. Until you get them tested by the midwife drink lots of water and get up slowly. E.g. getting out of bed, sit up for a bit first rather than trying to stand straight up.

The only symptoms are had up to about 12 weeks were dizziness, increased thirst and urinating more frequently. I thought I had diabetes then realised I was pregnant! Talking to friends and family most felt dizzy/light headed when pregnant

Thankyou everyone, it’s good to know that I’m not alone. I think because I didn’t have it last time I was slightly concerned. I have the same symptoms but dizziness is new. Im trying to figure out if there is a pattern when it happens. Luckily it’s not all the time, I think so far I’ve noticed it’s a short period after I have eaten and then been walking around - mid morning and mid afternoon. Which would make sense with the blood pressure.
