Hi ladies

I'm 39+5 weeks pregnant and every morning for the last couple weeks I have woken with a sharp stabbing pain in my very low stomach/ pubic area...

If I'm still & laying on my side it's fine but when I move or turn over, its this sharp sudden twinge!! HORRIBLE!

It only tends to be in the morning...

Have you experienced this? Is this the thing they call "lightning crotch"?

Should I be worried?

HELP!!!!!

I had this and think it was the baby doing something to my cervix. Horrible electric shock type feeling!

It sounds like lightning crotch. You could always call maternity unit and double check. I used to get it from about 32 weeks with my second and it would stop me walking dead in my tracks!

Public Symphysis Dysfunction? Have a google. I've no experience of that but it sounds possible.

@Penguintears glad I'm not alone! Bloody horrible! Wierdly it tends to relieve slightly after a bowel Movement (sorry TMI) ... so maybe it's the downward pressure 🤷🏻‍♀️
