2 babies to 3 babies... when did it happen?

When did you decide to try for baby three and what are the age gaps?

How did you find it?

I’m 23 weeks with my 3rd. Other 2 are 10 and 12.
Hopefully it will be amazing!
People seem to assume it was either unplanned or I’ve got a new partner but neither is true. We just decided we weren’t ready to call it a day and it was now or never to try. It happened fairly quickly for a 38 year old so hoping that’s a sign it was the right decision!

Im 34 weeks with DS1
DD1 is 4 around babies due date
DD2 will be 2.5 🤣
We decided to 'get them all out the way together'
DD1 and DD2 are best friends, it's so cute and we definitely did the right thing, but being pregnant again with 2 toddlers is HARD! I'm hoping DS1 will just slot into our lives 🙈 x

I've just had baby number 3 and my others are 5 and just turned 3.
Can't really comment on how it's going yet because she's only 3 weeks so we aren't out of the new born baby bubble yet!
Think there's definitely pros and cons for any age gap :)

We have one already, planning a second with a 2 year age gap then telling myself I’m going to wait til number 1 starts school to allow me a chance with number 3. I might get out of the baby stage with number 2 though and really want another one sooner 😂

I've got 15, 12 and 10 months old! I love it!

I wanted three close together, to get the baby years over and done with.

First two are 16 months apart, so I felt I needed a longer gap next time. I also had to persuade DH

The age gap between DC2 and DC3 is 2.5 years. There's under four years between the eldest and the youngest. They are grown now, and very close.

When DS2 was born my DD was 21 months and my DS1 was 3.5 years old

hard going especially as I was and am on my own.
they are 8 , 6 and 4 now almost 5 and very close. I feel as though none of them will ever be alone as the grow up and live their lives I hope.

@lemongirl1985 you sound v similar to me with your own age and age of your kids. How’s it going? People still look at us like we’re mad starting again (he’s due in Jan) but I’m really excited about it, the baby just slots in right?!

Babies 2&3 due December.

We decided to try late January. Had two cycles which were negative then fell pregnant with the twins.

It'll be a big jump from 1 - 3 but couldn't be more grateful and know DS will be the best big brother. He's such a caring and loving little boy.

Just to add I was 26 when I fell pregnant and had DS and just turned 30 in August.

@Pheepa we started family when we were both early twenties. When the second son was born even though we wanted a third we started thinking about buying a house and establishing secure jobs. I was 35 when I got pregnant with our third. Both boys were thrilled when then found out they going to have a younger sibling (we didn't find out sex as it didn't matter to us) now they are very loving and proud of her in front of their friends which I think is very cute.
We get often asked or suggested that we need to have another baby so that she has a company to play with. I swear at least 10 people ask me this but I'm sure the older brothers will not let her feel lonely. I love having a baby at home again. I waited for it 12 years but it was worth it.
