Chelsea and Westminster Hospital- thoughts? Public or private maternity wing?

Hello, i am interested to know your thoughts on Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. I have my first appointment in 2 weeks and this hospital is 5 min drive from me so it is very convenient.
Would you say better go private? What are your experiences?

We were looking at Chel West as one of our options but decided to go to another hospital slightly nearer that I work at (so easy to get away for scans, plus easier on the day of labour!). Chel West is one of the best maternity units in London and one of my colleagues there got a free doula included in her care which was amazing! You can't do much better!

Thank you for your reply. This is reassuring to hear. I will ask about the doula, thanks for letting me know there might be an option like this.

I have had 3 children there and it’s one of the best for maternity care. Post natal is shit though.
