What did you see? Also for those who might think it’s ridiculous you are correct but my anxiety is through the roof since my MMC and I just want to check in right place

yes because they thought I might have miscarried.

I saw a teeny tiny bean

cloudydays2 · 05/09/2022 13:59

I had one at 5 weeks and 6 days so a wee bit bigger, it was like a little flickering smudge on the screen, not ridiculous at all for a bit of comfort and reassurance 😊

Hopeful16 · 05/09/2022 14:01

I did as IVF but it was an internal scan as it was so early.

GettingStuffed · 05/09/2022 14:04

I had one to rule out ectopic pregnancy, a small clump of cells just inside my uterus

Snugglemonkey · 05/09/2022 14:11

I did. I had norovirus and was having some bleeding. I had IVF, so the clinic took a look. Two sacs and fetal pole were visible, but no heartbeat. I had another at 6 1/2 weeks and one heart was beating, then at 7 1/2 and still one heartbeat. The other embryo was not growing and by my 12 week scan was just a few cells, the sac had broken down. I am 28 weeks now with one healthy baby.

Thank you for your kind replies xx

Yes after bleeding. Its a tiny kidney bean shaped thing. No heart beat or anything like that so not actually reassuring.

33goingon64 · 05/09/2022 14:16

Yes, 5 weeks because of suspected MC. Scan is vaginal probe (not uncomfortable at all) and I saw tiny flashing light which was heartbeat. Just waved that little bundle of cells off on his first day at secondary school. Good luck!

@DoodlePug thank you x after my MMC with twins all I want to do right now is make sure pregnancy is in the right place. I’m going to wait until closer to 7 weeks for heartbeat scan

We didn't have one quite that early, but if you're looking at going private you may not be able to get one so soon. Our provider wanted us to be 6 weeks post positive test, so we could be certain of seeing something. If you've ovulated later than you think, there might not really be anything to see - which would be super anxiety inducing, so they don't risk it!
I totally get the early pregnancy anxiety - it's horrible second guessing every twinge and symptom, but if you can hold off until you're a few more weeks along you're less likely to get a falsely worrying scan. Fingers crossed for a sticky bean!

AdriannaP · 05/09/2022 14:21

Yes me.
you can see if there is a pregnancy and at the right place (no ectopic)
with luck they can see heartbeat (we could).
wait for another week to be on the safe side re heartbeat

Electricstar · 05/09/2022 14:23

@Nejnej2 thank you! I know I should wait until 7 weeks but I’ve booked private this weekend at 5 weeks. Bit annoyed at myself for not holding off but it’s paid for now 😂
I’ve been so anxious since finding it

Hope there's a little yolk scan waiting for you! But if you don't see much, it's not necessarily bad news 🤞

The first 8 weeks were the looooongest weeks of my life I swear!

catc7 · 05/09/2022 14:37

I had one at 5 weeks (5+6 from LMP but I know I ovulated later in my cycle because I was testing and have a longer cycle) last week because of cramping. There was an embryo but no heartbeat but sonographer wasn’t worried. Said if it had been 2 days earlier he wouldn’t have seen anything. I wouldn’t recommend that early if it is just for reassurance because of no heartbeat. I was just glad it was in the right place with the pain I was having. Actually have a private one booked tomorrow which I didn’t cancel so fingers crossed there is a hb!

HotDogKetchup · 05/09/2022 14:38

I had one at 5 weeks 5 days and there was a heartbeat

catc7 · 05/09/2022 14:44

After I posted I’ve just seen you booked a scan! For me it being in the right place and that there was something was reassuring enough! I haven’t MC and this is my first pregnancy but I have bad anxiety. Hope it is all good for you ☺️

Electricstar · 05/09/2022 15:00

@catc7 thank you! Yes just want to make sure all in the right place
thought I’d do little milestones to break up first trimester since loss has got me on edge xx
