Anxious for 20 week scan this afternoon

So as the title suggests really 😩

I’ve got my 20 week scan today and I’m so incredibly anxious for it, this is my second baby and I don’t remember feeling this way for my first.

I think my anxieties are coming from the fact I still don’t really feel them move all that much and their movements have been significantly less frequent than my first, who I felt from about 16/17 weeks and they got stronger and stronger every day.

This time around I feel the odd couple of pokes here and there each day but nothing like my son. The midwife who listened to the heartbeat at my 16 week appointment did say she heard a lot of blood flow and would be surprised if my placenta wasn’t anterior.

Can anybody ease my worries? 😩

I will add, the only thing helping me stop worrying so much is my ever growing bump, which for 20 weeks feels absolutely huge!

Different baby to your first, maybe not as active, possible anterior placenta which would definitely affect your perception of movements. But you listed those reasons yourself so you know that everything is most likely fine 😉

@Batbatbatty Thank you, I know, you’re right.. I definitely know all of the reasons why I could be feeling this baby less than my first. Wish that could mean I stop feeling anxious though 😂 I’m a very huge worrier.

I'm in the exact same boat! I feel like I haven't felt this one move as much as DD did at this stage in pregnancy.

I have my 20-week scan today too.

Hi @L0ts just to say I also have my 20 week scan this afternoon (second baby) and feeling really anxious so you’re not alone! Positive thoughts all round! Best of luck 💐
