Hi All,

16+3 weeks, throughout pregnancy ive had yellow discharge (no foul smell or itching) and cramps.

Since yesterday i have experienced lots and i mean lots of yellow discharge (no foul smell or itching) and cramps bit like the day before period cramps, not too painful but you can feel them. I keep getting the urge to empty my bowels but have had bowel movement for two days now.. Sorry for any TMI

I have read on the lovely google that this could be an infection?

My question is have others experienced this and what was the outcome?
And who would i call? GP, midwife? Maternity assessment unit?

Thank you 💕

Do your notes say anything about who to call? At my hospital I am to call Maternity Triage and send a text message to my midwife.

Does anybody mind updating me on how things are going? Currently 8 weeks and getting some yellow discharge. Had some bleeding around 6 weeks, which has stopped and had a scan a week ago and all was fine, but I'm worried the yellow discharge might turn into brown discharge and then blood.

Call your midwife (mine told me to call not text as calls get diverted to the duty midwife when necessary but texts dont).

At 8 weeks you could speak to EPAU if you don't have a midwife yet

Hi @pippabg

It was a a mild infection sorted with antibiotics... Currently 24 weeks with a healthy active baby and still get yellow discharge from time to time.. Speak to ur GP or midwife if concerned, its best to check. 1st trimester and early second are very anxiety provoking times.

All the best 💕
