6 weeks external scan

Hiiii,

I had IVF done and tested positive.
They asked for external scan to be done at 6 weeks.

Did anyone had as well clinic who said only external scan to be done at 6 weeks? Is it possible to see anything with external scan? I had an internal scan at 6 weeks with previous pregnancy.

Internal too here and I thought that was the standard. Then again I suppose they do the embryo transfer with an external ultrasound and that is visible enough.

Hi @ISAR I had a private scan at 7 weeks and they were able to see our little bean x

Hi @Krakinou yes true, they do external as well when during embryo transfer. I will make sure i drink enough water so uterus is more visible.

I've had many external scans at six weeks and well able to see everything so I wouldn't worry.

@ISAR yes sorry meant to say external scan, just make sure your bladder is full before you go in x
