Piriformis Pain - is it normal?

I am 9 weeks pregnant and the top of my buttocks are so painful, like a strong aching pain.

Is this normal? I have also had lower back ache (where kidneys are), but that has seem to have gone apart from the buttock ache.

It can be - have you had issues with tight hip flexors/weak glutes previously? Currently suffering myself with SI joint pain and painful glutes with pain going down my legs when I walk (I'm third trimester now though).

I’ve been struggling with pain in my piriformis for quite a while but it’s got to a point where lying on my left side is really aggravating it - I got no sleep at all last night.

Who would you see for treatment? Physio, chiropractor, osteopath?

I do suffer from a version of scoliosis so unsure of this is all linked as I’ve terrible rib flare pain too, I’m 29 weeks.
