Just started having brown spotting at 3 weeks 6 days. I had this for a few weeks back in March but miscarried at 9 weeks. Not sure if it had anything to do with brown spotting. Can anyone give me any reassurance? Did you have this and was baby fine?

@Essexgalhere I had brown spotting at 6 weeks and a fish of red blood a few days later. I have had 3 internal scans baby is fine and all is well and I'm 9+1 today.

On my last scan on Tuesday just gone they found a fibroid which is breaking down and leaving my uterus- they advised it won't affect the baby.

The lovely nurses At the Early pregnancy unit also reassured me that an brown spotting is completely fine up until 10 weeks unless it's accompanied by pain.

Hope this offers you a little reassurance.

I had bleeding /brown spotting my both my pregnancies, a lot more in my 2nd pregnancy. This was due to a small haematoma I think they said. All was fine with both babies 😊 it can be quite normal, but absolutely such a worry!

You could contact early pregnancy clinic and they should give you a scan to check everything is okay

I had brown/ red spotting with my first pregnancy, was checked at he epu then and my son was born fine.I had it again this pregnancy at 7 weeks together with strong period like cramps, of course i panicked and rushed to the EPU, checked me there and saw a heartbeat. I was told it seemed like an old blood but not to have sex for the next few weeks just in case. I am almost 14 weeks now and we saw the baby this week and all is good. I recommend you phone the local epu to see if they can check you just in case. Good luck x

Thank you for your replies
spotting was short lived and had none since!
It may of been a total coincidence that I had it with my loss in April but I guess it put me on edge xxx

Hi hun! It could be implantation spotting. About 1/3 of women experience this in pregnancy. Here is a great article which describes this in greater detail: www.mamasconnected.com/post/implantation-bleeding-two-week-wait
Best of luck to you x
