Hello does anyone know if phone wires are dangerous in pregnancy? I accidentally slept on one plugged in at the wall and it was touching my bare back Has it caused any damage? I’m worried about electric shocks etc, had a major freak out about it but I read online it shouldn’t be enough to hurt you but what about the baby ? Pregnancy after late loss is so hard 😭😭

Oh bless you for worrying!

No, it won't harm you or your baby but try and keep cables out of the way of where you might sleep or snooze just for your own peace of mind.

You'll both be absolutely fine!

Remote control, now charger plug, I know it's easier said than done but don't panic.

I was wondering if this was the same person.

Given you couldn't have completed the circuit with your body, just by laying on it, there is a zero percent chance baby was affected. You might have a mild bruise from where you lay on it.

For your own piece of mind, please remove all electronic devices from your sleeping area in future.

The human race has survived worse things than sleeping near electronic devices. Save your worrying for stuff that actually deserves worrying about!

hi i know this is an old post but something similar happened to me recently also, i switched my phone charger off from socket and held the part that goes into my phone between my thumb and index finger I didn't feel no shock or pain or anything. i let go and then i felt a slow tingly pain go down my finger into the palm of my hand. i called gp about it and she just laughed at me basically. could this cause damage to me or more importantly baby ??
