BBT charting in early pregnancy - can it preempt MC?

Has anyone done this?

I'd read in TCOYF that you could foresee an MC if your temp drops. Wondered if this had happened to anyone or if they'd had a continuous high temp and miscarried anyway.

Have been charting for reassurance as I got a positive hpt really early on (3+3). Am now 4+5, have light brown spotting and no other symptoms...just wondered if my high temp this morning was enough reassurance.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

if i was you, i would stop temping now. YOU ARE PG so stop worrying! Spotting is common in early pregancy.

There are mums on here that i have seen get themselves into a state doing this. Just enjoy your pg

OK, feel suitably admonished now

Thanks Scorpio, I think I do just need someone to slap me round my chops and tell me to get on with it and stop being such a worry-wort.

Will hide the thermometer when I get home.

Digitalgirl, didn't see that it was you straightaway! Congratulations . Hope you have a wonderful, happy pregnancy!
Har (from the TTC thread, do you remember?!) x

I kept on temping for a while after I got my positive and after a bit it started fluctuating which freaked me out so I stopped! A high temp can't be a bad sign tho.

hi har - I remember you! Thanks, am a big girl now I've graduated to the due in Sept thread. Hope all's well with you too!

thanks lucy, as scorpio said it's probably best if I stop taking my temps now (old ttc habits die hard...)

So brilliant! And a September baby will be lovely (fingers crossed for a gorgeous Indian summer).
All well with me thank you! Am 19 weeks on Thursday (not counting the days at all ) and beginning finally to get a very small bump. Worrying constantly that something is wrong of course but so far so good (touch wood!). Absolutely nerve wracking and want to do a Tom Cruise and get a home ultrasound machine. That would be bliss .
Think good plan to dump the thermometer though!
