Anyone had 'negative' preg test but was actually preg?

Normally have v regular periods & conceived easily with ds 2 yrs ago. Seem to have missed last period (by 6 days now, so 32 days since last period, normally 26 days bang on) but preg test neg.
Has anyone else had this & actually turned out to be preg?
Maybe should do second test.........

I have! Even the blood test at the doctor's came back negative. It was two weeks after my period was due before I got a positive. I think I must have ovulated very late in that cycle.

Do another test - when did you last do one?

Yep, had 5(!) negatives before the positive appeared for DS. By this point I was about 42dpo and just knew I had to be pregnant as I couldn't lie on my boobs! Trust your instinct and keep testing, but leave it a couple of days if you can bear to wait. then your body will make it clear that you care, and the test should be clearer in its result.

yes, twice. Wait three days.

With dd2 I had a negetive followed by a positive a week later.

With my next pregnancy, I had a negetive, followed by a positive two days later, followed by a miscarriage.

Now, I don't test until I am a week late.

yes i have twice - tested just too early for me too. waited another week then showed up positive both times (once in 05 with dd1 and once in 07 with dd2)

yes twice, and even when it did turn positive it was a few days after it "should" have done - I was about to book an appointment with GP because I thought "if I'm not pregnant something's wrong" because I felt different and weird. DS now 19 months!

Yes, all very odd. Had sex bang on (sorry for pun!!) ov. day so when period was late just presumed was preg then test really suprised me.
Have been thinking something up.
Last period, however, was really long for me (12 days & heavy) so am thinking my lateness this time round might be something related to that........who knows!
May wait another few days to do another test.

hhmmm this is quite reassuring,,,although am scared to let myself think i am (cos i dont want to be disappointed not that i dont want to be!!) am 4 days late now, have done 4 tests and a urine test at docs, all bfn. But... feel very bloated, and have (warning tmi) much more v discharge! how long shall i wait??!! last test was yesterday.

Give it another 3 days or so - if you;re anything like me that's impossible! But with my rational head on (rather than hormonal) you will save money that you can spend on yourself! Good luck, hope you get the result you want

I had this happen too. I waited 3 days before testing again and getting the positive I suspected.

yes.with 3rd child.i knew i was pregnant.2 tests said i wasnt,waited 3 days(longest days ever!)and it was positive!

bought a 2 pack today so i reckon i will make myself wait til sat, then if thats bfn on monday when i will be week late. why cant they cost pence or be reusable so i can test hourly???!!!!!

Yes, after 7 days. Retested after 10 days and it was BFP

yep, me and i was pregnant with twins! Turned out i ovulated on day 25 of my cycle! Test showed a faint positive 2 weeks later.

Yes, I tested too early. Did it again about a week later and it was positive.
