Our house needs serious upgrading. We've known all along since we moved in this work needs doing and the plan was to get it done this year, I'm now 34 weeks pregnant and living in a shithole. The whole house needs plastering, decorating, new radiators, carpets etc it's just never ending and we're running out of time. Now the boiler is broke so my husband wants to change the whole bloody system 😩 we haven't got time for that !! His dad has said the pipe work doesn't need changing, but when my husband comes home and I say that he tells me I'm putting him under pressure, I'm dictating to him etc all I'm trying to do is get him to understand the boiler just needs a quick fix for now, a new install can surely wait ??
I don't want floorboards up etc it's just too much on top of everything else, I want a clean environment for the baby not a building site. He's just spoke to me like I'm a child in front of his dad and I'm now crying. Yes my hormones aren't helping I know. I can't even nest because I have nowhere to put anything. My son is sleeping in the same bed as me as his room is off limits.
