I am 6+4 and have been getting some spotting today. It is dark brown blood and only when I wipe. I am getting a few crappy pains but have read that could be normal. Is that right? It has never happened in previous pregnancies so I am worried. Thanks

Didn't want to read and run... could it still be implantation as brown blood is old blood? Cramping is normal, I'm 12 weeks and I had quite a lot of cramping at your stage. Try not panic and take care of yourself xx

I'm really hoping so.

I had this during my first pregnancy. It was most days up to around 8 weeks. Almost always brown but sometime more red. The Dr was never bothered by it. It just stopped one day and the rest of the pregnancy was smooth.

@Betsyboo87 thanks.

@susususu I didn't have it with my first but had what you describe in my current pregnancy (26w) around the same week as you. I went for a scan at 7 weeks and all was okay and everything has been fine since. Mine was just brown spotting that lasted a few days, I was really worried and kept thinking the worst but thankfully was all okay. Could you ask for an early scan either NHS or private? Hope all is okay for you.

I’d speak to your local gynae clinic or midwife. I had the same and reported it. Their advice was to disclose any bleeding in pregnancy.

I have seen a midwife and had a scan last week because I didn't know dates. They said then that they only need to know about haemorrhaging. I am bleeding a lot more this morning so I guess this pregnancy is over 😔
