a little bit of a desperate chat to get some news off my chest. My husband is away with work and having suffered two miscarriages, we decided to start trying again.

killing some Sunday afternoon alone time, I decided to do a drawer clear out and stumbled on a pregnancy test, and I have no idea why but I did it. Line came back negative. A few hours later I went back before throwing it in the bin and there’s a faint positive.

im overwhelmed with emotion. Terrified, happy and guilty that my husband isn’t here. It’s also a faint line, could be wrong… really don’t want to get my hopes up.

I’m desperately thinking what should I be doing differently to go to term! Wahhhhhhh sorry I just need to talk to someone and let this out.

Any one third time lucky? did you do anything different?

I wouldn't get you're hopes up until you've done another test and the second line comes up within the time frame. I hope it is the news you're hoping for

I’m sorry, if it doesn’t appear in the time frame specified on the box, it’s negative. I hope you get the result you are looking at in the future.

How late is your period? You should normally get a line straight away. It could well be an evaporation line or indent line. Maybe leave it two days and take another?

I’m really hoping that it’s a faint positive for you op but if it didn’t come up within the time frame then you will need to do another test to check as sadly it can be evap line. I’d suggest buying another test and trying in the morning or in a couple of days time! Fingers crossed for you!

Hope it is positive after all 😅 I got negatives every day then a positive one day. When I looked in the bin at the test that had been negative the previous day, there was a faint line now on it. It has obviously only shown up after the time. Makes me think yours might be! Also, for third time lucky I’ve heard some people get the progesterone patches or pessarys if their body can’t keep their levels high enough x
