i,m trying to potty train a 2year old boy please help

I used to put my ds on the potty every half hour whether he needed to go or not and slowly he got the hang of it. Of course there was the odd accident and the day he did a poo in it was a massive celebration!! It also helped that he went to nursery and they did the same there too. I just constantly reminded him as well.
