Getting Positives And Negatives

Okay so I am very confused me and my fiance have been ttc for 5 months, this is the 6th month, I started testing a few weeks ago and I got a positive on a clear blue (not digital) and then kept getting negatives so I was sure I wasnt pregnant, two weeks ago I started having changes which were weird to me (larger breasts, darker areolas, different nipple shape, frequent urination, and nausea. Then took a test a few days ago that was a faint positive but faded after about 30 minutes to the point of barely being visible. I dont know how far along I could be but I am so confused and not wanting to get my hopes up, wanting to retest next week. I have been wanting a child for so long and want some advice please and thank you.

Don't think it matters if it fades, only what the result is at the designated time. Sounds like you're pregnant tbh!

Hey also forgot to mention I potentially have PCOS

When was your period due?
Tests aren't accurate after a certain window so read them within the time it says.
If you got a positive a few weeks ago and pregnancy is progressing tests would be positive now with a strong line.
Is there a possibikity it could be a chemical?
It's hard to know with what you've said.
Have you gone to GP for bloods or for them to do a test?

If I were you (and I was many moons ago) do a pregnancy test first thing in the morning so the hormone has had chance to build up overnight and show in your urine if you are pregnant x
I will keep my fingers crossed for you as I know what you’re going through and honestly the best thing to do is the absolute hardest which is being patient!
If you test negative, leave it a couple of days then test again x
Sending you hugs and best wishes xx

Thanks a bunch Airy, they’ve all been FMU which is another reason im confused, there has been some tension in the house as my fiance doesnt want to get his hopes up either, im hoping for a positive next week, it feels good to know that im not crazy haha

You’re definitely not crazy @Stella122 it’s so hard when you’re so desperate for that double line and you actually do start wondering if you’re imagining an extra line or not etc!
We tried for a long time and I counted every day between cycles, testing every time I was a day late etc - only when I said enough, I couldn’t do it anymore, told everyone we were having a break from ttc and actually felt the weight lift from my shoulders when I said it (because I meant it) we fell pregnant within two months lol
So there is truth in what they say about stress not helping etc
I really hope you get the result you want soon - if after another week you’re getting mixed results or negative then have a chat with your gp as maybe the pcos is playing around with your hormones x

Stella122 when was your period due? If it was a chemical you could get faint positives for a few weeks as far as I know because the HCG takes time to go back down..
I'm confused as you said in OP you got your first positive a few weeks ago?

Stella122 · 27/08/2022 21:33

It was supposed to be around the 15th but on the 13th I had light spotting for 3 days and then it stopped, very unlike my usual period, most of the time I have really bad cramping and very heavy bleeding but it was mild cramping and spotting. Started off pinkish, then a little redder, and then brown.

Was just looking through threads I’m on, came across yours and wondered how you’re getting on @Stella122 Hope you’re doing ok x

Hey @AiryFairyLights I got a negative yesterday morning but may be thinking its because I drank a lot of liquids the night before bc ive been really thirsty but also thinking I'm just not pregnant and getting a lot of false positives which would just be my luck...
