Iv been tidying my bedroom after getting the rest of my baby stuff delivered and iv sat down for a rest to watch tv and have lunch and I started feeling awful burning pain in my very lower back that’s coming and going and had been for an hour now iv taken some pain medicines tbey not helped iv changed positions it’s not helped. Could it be labour starting? This is not first baby but other babies were inductions, my baby fully engaged two days ago as I felt she had dropped when her hiccups were almost ib my vagina and I visited my midwife and baby was fully engaged. I’m 36 weeks will be 37 on Saturday.

did anyone go into labour and it started with back pains coming and going but not anywhere else?

Sounds very much like it could be! Just have to wait and see, can sometimes come and go before building up properly. Good luck!

Yes, I was woken up with back ache at 3am which was coming and going with no other symptoms. I timed them and they were 5 mins apart, it was the start of my labour 😊 good luck!

Yes like period pains! You will know soon if it's labour I'm sure, good luck

It could well be labour. As your currently 36 weeks it would be classed as premature so it may be worth calling your maternity triage as they may want you to come in. A friend went into labour at 36 weeks and they wanted her in for extra monitoring even in early labour

With both my babies the pains started in the back. I never had contractions in my stomach like I expected, all back

My second I got really bad back ache and cramps from about 36 weeks everyday I. Woke up certain she would be here by dinner time. She didn't come until 39 weeks. My first and third labour started with back ache and I had them later that night. It's one of those symptoms that it could be but equally not be.

As your 36 weeks I don't think there would be any harm ringing the hospital.
