Gestational diabetes and baby weight at 33 weeks

So had my follow up growth scan today at 32+3 and baby is estimated at 5.7lbs. So a chunk if the estimation is correct. Her abdominal circumference is still big, on the 97th percentile but they have said this isn't worrying them as it hasn't made a jump, it's just stayed consistent. So as it stands she's currently just under 90th centile.

Anyone else who had GD, was your baby as big as scans estimated ?

I had GD with my DS, he was estimated at 5lb7oz at the last scan I had, he was born at 38 weeks weighing 6lb12.5oz, there was 2 weeks between the scans I think plotting it on the chart he was a little bigger than their predictions but not massively off

@Jurassiclover So a decent size then not huge. My son was 7.4lbs when born which is why they were concerned with the size this time.
Yes I've been having two weekly scans also but now going back to 4 weekly. She was above 97th on one scan then dropped so they wanted to make sure she stayed on that new line.

I know there is a margin of error with scans but due to the GD it makes you wonder how big baby is actually going to be

I was also told my DS was measuring big and was induced. 38+5 he arrived at 6lb 15 - I was literally all water!

Also had GD, I meant to add

I was diagnosed with GD at 37 weeks due to baby measuring big. At one point she was off the charts! My bump also measured 44 weeks at 36 weeks pg.

I was offered a c section at 39 weeks, bought lots of 0-3 baby clothes etc.

She was 8lb 1oz and seemed tiny!

I've GD currently and 31+2 baby was estimated 4lb 4oz I think on 50th% but abdominal measurement was 93rd% got another scan coming up 10th September so guess I'll know more then

I had GD with my first.. at 33 weeks I was measuring 42 weeks and she was estimated 6lbs on the growth scan! I had polyhydramnios too. She was born at 38 weeks 1 day and she weighed 9lb 3!
My second was born at 35 weeks 2 days and was 7lb, no GD with him though!

I've just been diagnosed with GD, I'm 32+5 and DS is currently on the 90th centile at 6lb 😬😬

The GD was a bit of a shock as I hadn't had it in either of my previous pregnancies. BMI was 27 at booking in, so not brilliant, but I'm 39 in a few weeks so it might be age-related.

I'm trying not to worry but I'm an anxious bugger at the best of times!
