Hi there

im 40+5 and this whole pregnancy I've been anxious but since passing my due date I've been 100x worse than I was. All of the talk about overdue babies and stillbirth scares me so much.

I've had a perfectly healthy pregnancy, I've stayed fit right up to 40 weeks, baby growth is perfect, no issues at all. But it doesn't stop my mind going crazy.

i had no signs whatsoever, no pains, no aches, no pressure... then two days ago I thought I could feel ridiculous pressure down there, yesterday the same. Now it's just vanished??? Is that normal?

baby is moving lots still, I can't feel it as much as I could weeks ago but when I went to get monitored, I was reassured that baby just does not have much room now!!! It's still pretty regular and strong at times, he just has longer quiet times.

Feel normal today - due to be induced in 2 days but the anxiety is making me feel sick so I'm just looking for some reassurance!

Hi, sorry to hear of your anxiety and passing your due date! Just remember due dates can be off so 40 could be 38/39 etc. Try not to stress, if it goes too far you have have induction options. And if it makes you feel better I had no signs till the moment my water broke. And I mean nothing! A few twinges in my head leading up to it but it was all in my head wishing it to happen.

Hi, OP. I was induced at 40+10 with my first! All totally fine! As long as you're still feeling baby, everything is probably fine. I remember my daughter being slightly quieter towards the end of my pregnancy. One, I think they're cramped, and two, I think they're just saving up their energy for delivery. Sending you all the best. Only two more days!

Hi. It's crap being overdue, I really sympathise. I went to 40+12 days and was induced. It was totally fine, once induced everything started to happen pretty quickly for me and she eventually came 40+13 days. I was also totally fed up and my stress levels were through the roof as well. DD went transverse at 39weeks which was picked up at a growth scan. So I wasn't allowed to leave the hospital and ended up having to stay in for a week till she eventually moved back to being head down. So after that I was terrified that she would go transverse again and I wouldn't notice. Even though it was rubbish for me, she arrived healthy and absolutely perfect, no issues from being late at all. Won't be long now, whether she comes naturally or because of induction :-) x
