Unsure if I have Morning sickness

I am 21 years old and I am 8 weeks pregnant with my first child and I have no support from friends or family at this point in my life. I keep getting really bad nausea. I feel like I need to vomit but everytime I try to vomit nothing comes up and feels like it's just stuck in my throat. I don't know is this is normal as it's my first pregnancy but its very uncomfortable to be sitting at home with this unbearable feeling.

Yup that's morning sickness. Don't let the word morning fool you either.

Completely normal, you might not be sick at all but just have bad nausea. Ginger and mint flavoured sweets, biscuits etc might help.
Does anyone know you're pregnant? How are you being supported? x

Sorry about the lack of support. It's not easy to go through alone.
Yes that's normal. I had nausea and vomiting with both pregnancies all the way through (hyperemesis)nothing helped and I was induced with the 2nd one because of it

The entire term "morning sickness" is so misleading. It's not just in the morning and you're not necessarily going to be sick. I had awful morning sickness up to week 16 which started at 9am until I went to bed - and I never vomited once but it was horrendous none the less.

Different things work for different people but the things I found most helpful were taking walks (fresh air) and ice lollies as they also helped me feel hydrated without actually drinking. Lots of people suggest ginger but I personally found it made mine worse.

Hiya hun it’s perfectly normal as others have said, I’ve been sick 3 times this morning - 7wks pregnant I think!!! Trying to work and act normal
when All I wanna do is sit on my bathroom floor and cry! This isn’t my first child but might aswell be my son is 20!! I’m 37 and scared more now than I ever was with him!!

That was how my sickness was. It often felt that it would be better to be sick then constantly feeling sick.

For me it helped not to let my stomach get to empty. So toast as soon as i woke up, small meals and snacks through the day

@lifehappens12 i wish I could do that but the smell of absolutely everything turns my stomach! I’ve Jst out my out of office on and popped to the nail bar - even that smell is making me queezy and the only thing I seem able to eat is melon .
