Hi there, I too have quite swollen fingers and at least three on each hand are permanently numb or pins and needles. Midwife said it was the excess fluid pressing on my nerves in my wrist and offered physio referall (which I declined).

As I have no other complaint I am happy just to muddle through. Typing on computer is tricky though. Think you will just have to grin and bear it!

Yeah its carpel tunnel and will go after birth (I hope) I have it too, used to wake me up in the night with like a burning pain in my fingers. Now they just get achey, swollen and are hard to bend! Drinking lots of water helps.

Moving them also helps. For me nights are the worst, but knitting makes them feel a lot better

I've got really swollen fingers too - they came up quite suddenly so I haven't had a chance to get my rings of my fingers - now it's impossible. Does anyone know a good way of getting them off - have tried soap and butter but to no avail - now they're just more swollen and sore than they were before.

I've heard stories of people having to have their rings cut off - is this true??

my fingers are swollen too and my joints hurt when i bend my fingers. its worse at night. does anyone know how to relieve this?

Hold your hands up and wriggle your fingers until the tightness eases. This gets the fluid away from the joints. I had this in my last week of pregnancy, and 5 weeks later it's nearly gone.

I'm only 7 weeks and my knees, wrists and index finger joints are painful. My finger joints are also swollen. I also have a lymph node on the back of neck that's swollen. Is this normal? I'm not even showing yet and have only gained a pound or so. I've been to the Dr, they drew blood to run some tests.
