TTC for 10 Months... Am I finally pregnant?

I am so happy! But I'm also overwhelmed with anxiety, praying that it's real and our bubba is really on the way. It feels like it's been such a long journey and I just keep feeling so nervous.

The first set of pictures with the digital was taken yesterday at 13DPO. The second set of pictures was taken today at 14DPO. I can see they're all positive, but I'm just so scared because I'm not due on my period until tomorrow (15DPO) and I really hope our little bean sticks.

Anyone else TTC for a while and couldn't believe it when it was positive?! When do I allow myself to relax and truly believe I'm pregnant?

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you all and hope everyone is well 💙

@Longbin That's what I'm worried about! Haha. If you don't mind me asking, are you pregnant now? How far along? 💙💙

Huge congratulations, that's amazing news!! Enjoy the moment of getting your first positives, there's no better feeling!

I can relate to this as it took me 16 months to fall pregnant. Truthfully for me it took a while to sink in - I tested everyday for about 2 weeks just to check the lines were still there (definitely wouldn't recommend doing that if you're anxious though!!)

We had an early scan at 7 weeks with WTTW and that's what made it feel real for me seeing the little heartbeat on the screen! Such an amazing experience which I would recommend if you can afford it for reassurance. I'm now 21 weeks and still can't believe it sometimes, luckily it's more of an excited feeling now rather than anxiety so the nerves will go away 💗

Really, really hope it goes well for you xx

I didn't relax until my baby was born and in my arms.

I was always happy at the scans then my anxiety always crept back in. The joys of anxiety I suppose. Now I'm anxious as my baby isn't sitting up yet at 7 months old when my friends babies are all crawling by 7/8 months lol!

Congratulations on your BFP!

@Janey3090 You have no idea how much this helps. Thank you so much, and congratulations to you too!

I'm trying so hard not to keep testing. That's a brilliant idea, I'll definitely be getting an early scan because I think it will really help with the anxiety. I can't wait to hear the heartbeat, that must have been so incredible.

Thank you so much again for your kind words. I will try to enjoy my positives, I don't think I've ever cried happy tears this much haha!

Big congratulations and have a happy, healthy pregnancy with your little bean 💙

@CircleMessage I feel like I will be very much the same! So basically pregnancy and parenthood is just filled with anxiety haha.

But we're also so lucky to be in the positions we're in. Thank you so much for your congratulations, big congratulations on your little bubba too! They'll be sitting up before you know it 💙💙

@mumofbun Thank you so much! I'm only 3+5 and the 12 week scan feels forever away 😂 But I think I'll get a private scan early and then the 12 week scan will definitely help too. Thank you again 💙

I also did an early scan and I will warn you now, according to my LMP I would have been 7 weeks at the scan but when I went I was measured 5w 2d. I saw a teeny flicker of a heart but that was it - don't be disheartened.

Here are my 5wk and 7 wk scans

They are so beautiful! Scans give me goosebumps. You must be so happy.

I can imagine, I would have been scared at that first scan too! That's great advice and good to keep in mind, just in case I'm not as far along as I think.

Thank you so much for your kind words and reassurance 💙

@TTCBabyBubba being pregnant is such a weird time - things seem to move so slow and also so so fast!!! Private scan is a great idea if you're feeling nervous x

Longbin · 23/08/2022 12:10

@TTCBabyBubba I am pregnant at the moment, just under 8 weeks. I had a baby in 2021 and was trying for years for her. I know I will worry much less when the baby is born, but I am not very positive throughout pregnancy so I really drags. I've just accepted that's what it's going to be like though and nothing is going to change that

PinkFizz1 · 23/08/2022 13:09

Congratulations OP! I am currently 25 weeks and even though I’ve had multiple scans, got a big bump and can feel her moving and kicking everyday, I STILL don’t believe that I’m actually pregnant 🙈😂

I don’t think it’ll seem real until I’m actually giving birth!

@PinkFizz1 Thank you so much! And congratulations to you too! Aww a little girl, bless you.

It's so reassuring to know I'm not crazy... or I'm at least not alone 😂 I don't think I'll believe it until I give birth either!

Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy with your little bundle of joy 💙
