Pink spotting at 5 weeks

Looking for a bit of reassurance.
I think I’m roughly 5 and a half weeks pregnant. This will be baby number 5 and I have never experienced this before. I started spotting, a pink colour when I wiped. 
I did another test because I had one in the draw and the clear blue does say pregnant 3+ so I’m taking that as a good sign. it was Only when i
wiped once but it’s scared the life out of me. I am off to the epu tomorrow but please tell me some good news story’s. I know bleeding can be common in early pregnancy but this isn’t something I have ever experienced and iv convinced myself there is something wrong 😑 

I think it’s going to be a long night 😭😴

I had this last Sunday went to the EPU baby with heartbeat was 6+4

Had a fish of red blood Tuesday we t back to EPU today as they will only scan you a week apart ( 7+5) again baby with heart beat. They were lovely and advised it happens a lot but it's best to be checked out.

Thankyou, glad your story worked out well, the bleeding has stopped today but I'm so nervous, if to early pregnancy unit at 1pm but I doubt it's going to make me feel any better unless they do scan me and I do see a heartbeat. Which I reckon I'm probably too early too early for anyway 😩 xx

@Mumofboys12 it's too early to see a heart beat but they will be able to see the sac and if there's any bleeding. Hope all goes well.

I don't think I'm getting a scan anyways, they have taken my blood now I'm waiting to see a dr xx

This happened to me with both of my pregnancies at around the same time - it was hugely scary but everything was ok with them both. Sending a hand hold and hope everything goes ok

So epu have called and said my levels have come back at 10,000! They said they needed to be at 1500 to be able to have a scan. Mine are way past that so I have a scan booked for Thursday morning at 10am. Keep everything crossed for me 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Currently 25 weeks - had pink stained discharge at 5 weeks whilst stuck at home with COVID and heavy bright red spotting at 13 weeks. It's really scary, but is often normal - I hope everything is good on your scan 🤞

Update Thursday morning. So exhausted 😂😴

So I had another small gush of red. Wiped, red, been to the toilet every 10 mins since and nothing. What is happening 😩 going out of my mind with worry right now 💔

Hi everyone, so iv since had spotting once every day (specifically after a bowl movement, not sure what that's all about) had my scan this morning and they saw a 9mm gestation sac but nothing inside it. She said I'm too early to be able to see anything anyways at roughly 5 and a half weeks. From what Iv googled a 9mm sac should probably have something in it by now (Google is NOT my friend right now) also they did my blood again. Came back at 16,598. Now I know that's good, it's gone up the 65% that they wanted them to, perfectly. BUT Google again tells me that those levels point to being over 6 weeks and would have definitely seen a yolk sac in the gestation sac. But she said the scan was inconclusive today. So anyways I have another scan booked for next week on Thursday so 7 days later but I'm not feeling very optimistic when everything points to the fact that something should have been seen in a 9mm sac with hog at 16,500. I'm just not feeling very positive right now and I can't help how anxious I am 😭

@Mumofboys12 just to reassure you I had to have an internal scan at 6+4 due to spotting and they couldn't see anything until 3rd try if it wasn't for a patient doctors we wouldn't have seen anything in the sac either. I had another scan at 7+5 after a gush of red blood and they did an ultrasound and could see everything straight away and a flicker which is the heart beat.

I'm glad they have offered you another scan.

@PMAmostofthetime Thankyou, that does make me feel better. There was a gestational sac but no yolk sac. Fingers crossed we see some progression next week 🤞🏻 going to be a long week 😑 xx

@Mumofboys12 I have an IVF pregnancy and they know my exact dates and my clinic won't do a viability scan until 7 weeks as only then they are guaranteed to see yolk and fetal pole if all is ok and causes less stress. They are actually not doing my viability scan until next Tuesday as my partner couldn't be there this week and they wouldn't do it last week as they only scan on Tuesdays and I would have been 6+6

So I hope that offers you further reassurance

My sister at 7 weeks went for an early scan, went back at 8 weeks as they could only see a sac, and now has a healthy 7 year old! Praying for you x

Just wanted to update you that they found the cause of my bleeding today I'm now 8+6 and this was my 3rd scan.

I have a fibroid that's currently bigger than baby- not harmful to baby but I could continue to spot and bleed as it breaks down and leaves my body naturally. The only issue I will have is if I'm Rhesus Negative blood type and I bleed after 12 weeks I'll need Anti D injections.

Just thought this may reassure you that baby can be completely fine even with bleeding. There was a little wriggler on the screen today and a very strong heartbeat. And at my 6 weeks scan they wouldn't have seen a baby without persistent checks x

@PMAmostofthetime fantastic news for you! I'm so glad you and baby are doing fine.. so I haven't had any spotting or anything since last Thursday so that's a good sign. And iv had a bit of sickness too which Iv never experienced with my previous pregnancy's, so hoping that's a good sign too! Scan Thursday morning so il update after that. Keep everything crossed for me ❤️

If their calculations are correct I should be 6 and a half weeks at my next scan. So not holding out hope of seeing much but hopefully even a little progress will keep me going 😂🥰

Hello!! So scan this morning showed we are 6 + 2 and baby had a little heartbeat 💗 they think the bleeding was caused by implantation as there was a little tiny bleed next to baby so they reckon it just caused a bit of bleeding as it implanted. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I'm so happy we saw baby's heartbeat. Now to wait for my 12 weeks scan, mind is at rest a bit more now. Thankyou for all your support xx
