Unknown Location Pregnancy No Bleeding

I went for a private scan yesterday (6 weeks 0 days) and they couldn’t locate anything at all so it’s been named an unknown pregnancy.

I haven’t had any cramping or bleeding at all and my symptoms are still very much there and a clear blue has gone from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks within a week.

by reading others stories lots do end in miscarriage however most start with bleeding and I haven’t had any.

has anyone else had this and been ok? Thanks in advance x

I should have also said that they checked for ectopic and ruled it out

Hi, how did they check out the ectopic? They couldn’t see mine for 6wks as it wasn’t big enough to see. Have you been asked to keep repeating bloods, I had to go every 2 days for weeks. I’ve had quite a few miscarriages now and also never bled. Was also getting changes in the clear blue tests. How have they said they would manage it?

@dmask I had a scan to check for ectopic but as you said may have been too small to see. I have had an ectopic before so I won’t be surprised if it’s another one ☹️

I have requested bloods as the early pregnancy unit didn’t seem to bothered as I’m in no pain.

I didn’t have any pain either. I think you’re more likely to have one if you’ve had one before unfortunately. This was my first and luckily they tested with the injection, but I’m also nervous about when we try again. My hospital were amazing, lots of scans, bloods etc. they even phone me up when I forgot to come in for one. I would definitely push for bloods. I only found out it was ectopic after I thought I had miscarried (had a PUL), as I bled at 6 weeks and thought it was over. Luckily they were doing bloods all the time and wouldn’t discharge me as they weren’t low enough. Then had a very long scan and they found it. Good luck!

I meant treated with the injection.

@dmask Bloods tomorrow and another scan Thursday so hopefully I’ll get some answers. I think I’ve had time to digest so I’m ready for a bad outcome now ☹️

Dont panic about trying again though I had an ectopic and lost my left tube, I fell pregnant with my daughter 3 months later.

Thank you, we have to wait three months because of the injections. In a way, it takes the stress out of ttc as we can’t! I’ve had three miscarriages but have been lucky as we have a 14m old now, and I know I should count my blessings as I didn’t think we would even have a baby😊! Every time I get pregnant, I do always assume the worst, as I’m basically an optimist as crazy as it sounds, and I like to always prepare for the worst eventuality so if the worst doesn’t happen I’ll be pleasantly surprised! I hope you can get some answers soon, it took a while with mine, but I wish you all the luck!
