20 week anomaly scan

Hello,

I had a 20 week scan yesterday and I'm feeling slightly worried.

Baby was fine however the sonographer pointed out that the baby's head is measuring rather small. He rebooked me into another scan as he couldn't see baby's heart & chest to check and told me to ask them to remeasure

Baby's measurements are:

BPD - 40.9mm
OFD - 60.7mm
HC 159.5mm

Is this area of concern?

Since baby's chest wasn't visible this suggests baby was lying in an awkward position. This can really mess with their measurements. I'd guess that's all it is.

I really do hope that's the case! It's my first baby so as you can imagine I'm a barrel of nerves at the best of times

It can be difficult to get accurate measurements especially if baby is in awkward position. Hopefully your rescan will be better.

So I went back and you were right. Babies head is still small but within range and they are not worried. Thank god !!
