Hello!

Trying this again ….

Any girls out there that ate quite poorly during pregnancy and their babies were fine? I eat fruit, only drink water, take prenatals BUT don’t eat the healthiest of dinners, mainly freezer stuff and takeaways x2 a week … I can’t stand veggies, never have so that’s not an option … also, weight gain isn’t really issue for me, baby is doing great so far also

Now, I appreciate the advice but I’m reallyyyy NOT looking for tips on how to eat healthier, trust me, I’ve tried and heard it all. Just looking for other mums that maybe didn’t eat the best during their pregnancy and what their diets were?

Thanks :)

@leah3 I hardly ate anything during the first 20 weeks of pregnancy due to HG midwife told me to just eat what I can. I was still off a lot of foods for the rest of my pregnancy. Baby was born 4 weeks ago weighing 9.3lb 😂

I also had HG during pregnancy, couldn't keep anything down and lived off chocolate. I had a very healthy 9lb 3 baby. My GP told me I could live off apple juice for weeks when I couldn't eat anything

I had takeaways, pregnant people need treats! Your baby will still be getting nutrients from you so don't worry.

This baby I'm carrying is basically built from McDonalds McPlants and egg muffins. It's all I could stomach until about 12 weeks. I was the same with DD and she's fine.

This baby is made out of cake 100%!

I just had to eat what I could keep down, which was mainly biscuits and McDonalds. Both babies are fine. You're taking a daily vitamin so you'll be fine Wink

My first pregnancy my body was a temple, ate perfectly, no sugar, exercised meditated etc.

I now have a feral 2 year old and am barely managing to survive being pregnant whilst chasing round after her.I have lived off caffeine, chocolate and low expectations.

I suffered with HG until around 16 weeks and then had intermittent vomiting due to smells or getting too hot. I didn’t eat a single vegetable through pregnancy because the smell of them made me puke. I used to eat butter mintoes or suck on fruit gums 🙈 when I started to feel better My diet was limited still due to food aversions.
My baby boy was 9lb 8oz and his appetite now is insane (20 months)!

LabRat90 · 21/08/2022 18:13

I literally sent out my husband on numerous occasions to get Krispy Kreme doughnuts 😂and especially nearer the end we lived on takeaways.

I also ate a lot of fruit but likewise I am not a veggie fan. Salad - yes on occasion, veggies - meh.

Baby was born 7lb 7oz and completely healthy.

I went off of all food when PG.
Could just about tolerate chocolate, crisps, soda...
Tuna mayonaise (daily) was the healthiest option I could choke down.
