Raspberry leaf tea?

Has anyone had any success stories with raspberry leaf tea?

I've got a lot of pressure as it is and can feel the baby pushing down which sends like an electrical pain in to my bits and causes me to stop and squat down a tiny bit lol just wanted to know if anyone has an experience with the tea as it seems the safest thing to try and help get labour going other then the obvious go on a walk, sex, spicy food

Thankyou

I used the capsules rather than the tea in both my pregnancies.

It doesn't induce labour though, that's a myth. The point of taking raspberry leaf is to strengthen your uterus which means that each contraction you have is more effective which usually results in a shorter labour.
Both of my deliveries were very quick and so I would definitely say it worked for me, although I have nothing to compare to as I haven't had a baby without taking it

I took the capsules in my second pregnancy and it was a great labour/birth. Doesn't hurt giving them a go 😊 good luck!! 👶🏻

I had the tea with my first and I felt it did absolutely nothing. But then again I'll be taking it with my next one because it's worth the try and nothing to lose Grin

It doesn't induce labour. It's supposed to speed up the 2nd stage of labour or something.

I took tables at the end of my pregnancy. The last month from memory. DD was born on her due date, after an 8 hour labour, weighing 7lbs 2oz.

The midwife didn't know if it did any good, but said it wouldn't do any harm. Was 1997, so ideas may have changed.

I drank it religiously at the end of my pregnancy. Didn't stop my labour being 32 hours 😬

I took loads of the capsules for far longer than is actually recommended these days (it's supposed to tone the womb to make it more efficient not start labour) three labour's between 3-6 hours start to finish😁 could have been coincidence but after the first I wasn't risking not taking it to test it out😂

As much as I hate to say it, I don’t think anything works really to induce labour. The baby will come when they’re ready I think. No harm in trying though!
