Thanks lovelies, my thoughts too but the scan lady seemed to be in quite a rush and kept the screen away from us 99% of the time so I just came away feeling a little confused. First time having a scan so early xx

Midwife sonographer here. That looks like a single fetal pole and a yolk sac to me but can never say for sure on a single image. I’m sure if the sonographer thought it was twins they would have said so at the time. Did you not receive a scan report?

Hi @MojoJojo71 thank you for replying, I did but couldn't see anything regarding 1 or not on there, I will take another look. This is the only image we saw so I haven't got any other reference either unfortunately.

I guess the 12 week scan will tell us for sure!

@RenegadeMatron the scan lady seemed to be in quite a rush and kept the screen away from us 99% of the time so I just came away feeling a little confused. The only thing she said was when she turned the screen to us and said look a heartbeat.

Just want to get an idea from other women who have had a scan this early, I wouldn't have asked if she said lol.

I had a v early scans (IVF) and we could see two little flicking heartbeats.

We're in the same boat by looks of it similar scans but ours was just under 6 weeks

Could I ask your opinion on these scan pic please single or twin?

Thank you for sharing your images, I'm not the best person to tell as am in the same boat and our scans look remarkably similar. It appears as though there's two to me?
