30 weeks

I’m 30 weeks today - at times it feels like 10 weeks is still ages to go but sometimes it feels like no time at all!

I’m completely exhausted and overwhelmed by how quickly the time has gone so far and how much I still need to get organised, but so excited to be at this stage and love how much my little one moves around and reminds me that they’re there all the time 🥰

Anyone at a similar stage wanting to share the highs and lows of the final stretch?

I hit 30 weeks yesterday 👋🏼 I’m so happy that it’s all going so fast now after a gruelling first trimester. Can’t quite get my head around the fact that there will be a baby here soon 😳 😆 it’s all sooooo exciting though.

Hello! I'm 31 weeks today and feeling quite similar. Exhaustion just hit this week, and everything just seems so much more than it used to be, especially simple work tasks. Looking forward to getting properly ready for baby's arrival though! We had a John Lewis appointment yesterday to look at everything

I'm 39 weeks, 30-38 were fab, flew by, but these last couple of weeks, OMG, so long! Suppose it doesn't help that I went on maternity leave at 38 weeks so now I"m just... waiting ha! When do you plan on starting maternity leave?

Hi @DangerouslyBored is this your first baby? First trimester was rough for me too, then second was full of worry with extra tests as some things weren’t looking right - fortunately looking ok now. Now I’ve got a huge bump and seem to be starting early on the awkwardness of the third trimester 😂 it’ll all be worth it in the end 😊

Hi @Babyenroute that’s really exciting to have a JL appt! Have you got everything sorted? It’s a nice time to do it I think. My first was a lockdown pregnancy and no shops open so had to do it all online, I’d have loved that! Ugh, the work exhaustion is the worst! My 28 week bloods came back as low iron/ferritin so I’ve just started a prescription for iron - I’m desperately hoping this makes it better!

hi @KoalaPineapple wow, you’re super close! Any signs yet? Keep us updated and make the most of that time! I’m starting maternity on my due date although may take a few days leave in the week running up to it. I’ll be able to work from home anyway and my work are great, they’re happy for me to bring it forward if I need to. I’ll only take 6 months so want as much time as possible after baby arrives 😊 do you know if you’re having a girl or boy?

That’s good you can work up until due date as itl keep you occupied but be warned your concentration levels may wane a little ha! This waiting game is long haha… I’ve had no signs at all yet (not convinced I’ve had any braxton hicks or anything) but I’m a full believer that she’ll come when she’s ready and I don’t mind when that is really as long as she’s ready and healthy 🥰

I'm 31 weeks with my second. Time has really flown in this pregnancy - probably helped by the fact I'm not in lockdown this time and I have a 21 month old to run around after.

I do really need to get myself organised though. My first arrived at 37 weeks so I really need to get my hospital bag packed. Though I have a much better idea of what to expect this time, I feel really unprepared!

Just hit 31 weeks and I am so excited for the arrival of our boy! Only just encountered third trimester insomnia but apart from that I'm feeling generally ok. Haven't packed my hospital bag yet or washed any of his clothes so that's next on my to do list!
