Blood tests

Hi everyone,

After my booking in bloods were taken, I found out that my samples for non-fasting glucose and blood group/antibodies could not be tested. I spoke to my maternity department who advised these could be taken as part of my screening bloods at my 12 week scan.

These were taken 3 weeks ago, and as yet my NHS app has not been updated with the results. My last set of blood tests were on the NHS app in 3 days.

I have rung the hospital twice to follow this up. Last week someone took my details and said they would call me back, as yet they have not. Today the number had an answerphone message saying no one was available to speak. I rang maternity triage after advice from the midwives and I got put through to a number that just rang out.

A midwife advised they don’t ring up with results, which I understand. I am just concerned that these results don’t appear on my records at all, when the other blood tests do.

Does anyone know how important non-fasting glucose and blood group/antibody test results are? No one seems to be concerned but I just wondered whether I should be pushing this more?

If anyone has any ideas that would be much appreciated :)
