Last week I got my membranes swept (Thursday) doctor said I was 80% effaced and 2cm dilated. I have bloody show that same day and didn’t dilate much. I had a doctors appointment and they said today i’m at 3cm and 90 percent effaced almost took a full week to get here. Today, I released another mucus plus after my doctor swept my membranes (again) and said I should start active labor very soon. I was a mother 7 years ago so I feel like I’m going into labor for the first time since it’s been years. When did you give labor? Did sweeping membranes help? Did it takes this long? I had an induction for my first at 42 weeks and he was 9lb when he was born with complications. I don’t want that again for this baby since I am now 40 weeks and she is 8lb 4oz.
