You can fall straight away but it can depend on how far along you where in your pregnancy ie the farther along the longer it MIGHT!! take.

GOOD LUCK XXXX

I had a mc on 13th Dec 2007. Didnt need any nedical intervention as everything came away. We tried again straight away and I got a bfp on 12 Jan 2008 so it is possible..

How far gone were you when you mc?

On my 3rd mc I had the ERPC on the 28th of August, and found out I was pg with DS on the 17th of October.
It can ben painful dtd after because your cervix has been dilated during the op. This goes fairly quickly ime.

sorry i dont know these technical terms lol wats an erpc and ds and dtd and ime xxxx

Oops sorry - its like text speak isn't it ? An ERPC is what some places call a D&C because it is a bit more accurate about what they do now. DS is 'dear son', ime, in my experience, and dtd - 'doing the deed' ie s*x

i fell pregnant after my first af (period) after my mc which was at just over 6 weeks. theres a good thread on the ttc boards for after mc and a pregnancy after mc one as well over on pregnancy.

bethoo · 22/01/2008 09:39

i caught on second cycle after mc as i bled for a long time after.

Good luck Shelli08. I mc'd in July at 16 weeks, had a period nearly five weeks later and got pregnant the next cycle. I'm now 21 weeks!

widgetsmummy · 22/01/2008 09:56

Shelli - I also got pregnant again after one normal period after mc in March last year. Am now 37 weeks after healthy pregnancy.

It is hard but there are some great support threads on MNs if you need to chat or have questions.

Good luck and take care x

I wouldn't worry too much about it, my sister fell pregnant again the week after her D/C. She's now due 17th of next month.
I think they tell you wait just to be cautious but it can happen and suceed, this pregnancy has been far better for my sister than the last no problmes at all.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 22/01/2008 11:59

It really depends when you start to ovulate again. I m/c on 19 Aug (at 6wks) and was pregnant within a fortnight.

So the date of my m/c is now being used to date this pregnancy. I'm 22 wks and everything is fine so far.

Good luck. But don't worry if it takes a little longer, your body will be ready in it's own time.

Also... Have you had a negative pregnancy test since your D&C? It can take a little while for the hgc to leave your body and it would be heartbreaking to get a positive result only to find it was left-over hormone from your previous pregnancy.

Hi. I m/c just before Christmas 'O6. Advice was that it was best to wait for one normal cycle before ttc again. I did +ve pg test on 14 Feb and ds3 was born Oct '06. However, I didn't have a d & c - and the advice to wait seemed to be at least in part so that docs could accurately date beginning of pg... Good luck
