Is this a positive or evap?

Is the fainter line a positive or evap line? Period is 2 days late. I had some very light but red spotting the day it was due, then a bit of light cramping today followed by a hint of pink when I wiped. The line has been getting darker. Both pics are the same test. The test is first response. Thanks x

That's clearly a positive?

TheBirdintheCave · 17/08/2022 14:04

Obviously a positive.

Posts like this always grind my gears a little as there's no guess work here. It's almost as if people are bragging and want to show off their positive tests.

Anyway, congrats, OP!

Thanks lots for responses. Definitely not obvious to me. Fainter line is thinner. I've had an experience before when I thought I could be pregnant and did about six tests, and they looked sort of faint positive...then period arrived and subsequently learnt about evaps.

That could very well have been a chemical pregnancy

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 17/08/2022 14:38

That's the most positive positive ever!

Congrats OP :) wishing you a safe and healthy pregnancy x

Hmmm I'm still not convinced. It's thinner than the control line :/

Take another tomorrow if you can :) fingers crossed for you x

Both times I was pregnant my lines were thinner and paler than this. Congrats OP!

SareBear87 · 17/08/2022 15:09

@Azera25 just for reference these were mine.
Currently 28 weeks with a very wiggly baby kicking away.

Two pink lines are a positive 😊
Congratulations!

So, after all that, still uncertain, I did a clearblue digital in the evening, and a first response and clearblue digi in the morning. All positive. Hurrah! And one that tells you how many weeks since conception, which said 1 - 2 weeks.

However, I've had some bleeding, although everything I've read says it's common and not concerning because it's not heavy. So I got some cheapo wilkos tests. One might be a very faint positive but could just as easily be evap, the other two are negative.

I feel like I've spent a fortune on tests and am ultimately none the wiser as it's just all too early.

Sharing in case this is helpful for anyone in similar predicament. X
