Hi people, just wondering how often you are feeling babies movement at 19 weeks, some days I'm feeling them alot then others hardly at all. Sending my anxiety through the roof. Is it normal at this stage??

Its normal for there to be daily fluctuations, particularly when they are small. If you are every concerned though phone your maternity unit and they can monitor you for reduced movements and put your mind at ease.

I’m 20 weeks now and feeling her regularly, normally a little in the morning, a few bursts of activity in the afternoon, then for what feels like 2 hours straight in the evening before bed.

I felt her quite early (15 weeks) but only very occasionally. Probably daily from 19 weeks but it’s only in the last few days that it’s become much more regular and predictable and my partner finally felt her. It changed really fast.

My friend who’s also pregnant showed a lot sooner than I did, but didn’t feel really regular movements till around 22 weeks. All the resources say a lot is due to our individual bodies and baby & placenta position so I don’t think you should worry at the moment.

Thank you, I'll try to relax now x

I'm just the same - 19+3 and hasn't felt lots too last week when he started being more regular in the morning and evening. Last night nothing in the evening so I panicked 🤦‍♀️ this morning he is wriggling away!!! It's hard not to over think isn't it x

I didn't even feel my baby move until about 22 weeks. I think it's closer to 28 weeks that they should fall into a 'pattern' of movement. Try not to fret.

I was googling exactly the same last week as I went from feeling small movements to nothing, then suddenly this week I'm feeling much stronger movements and even felt from the outside for the first time so I think it's pretty normal. Hard not to worry though.

Thank you, such a relief to hear its the same for every one. Its been 9 years since I had my son and 15 since my daughter so it's like it's the first time again for me xx
