Vomiting bug (maybe food poisoning 1st trimester)

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and have had a rough first trimester so far. I had a funny tummy around 6 weeks and then covid at 7 weeks and now I've got a stomach bug (possibly food poisoning but can't pin point an exact source). On top of this I've had the standard exhaustion and nausea that comes with pregnancy. I'm SO worried and have spent most of today between the toilet and in bed crying.

How can a tiny foetus survive all of this? I haven't had any early scans and I'm waiting for my 12 week scan in a couple of weeks but I'm not terrified of a missed miscarriage or something.

I'm now 26 weeks.. had covid at 5 weeks pregnant and then the worst norovirus at 12 weeks! Little foetus was absolutely fine!!! Just rest as much as you can! It's amazing how your body will protect that little baby xxxxx

@dodo33 thanks for sharing your experience. Glad everything is well for you. I feel so rubbish and so panicked by the relentless illness. I woke up this morning feeling a bit better so hopefully it's on its way out.

Please don't worry. I ended up on a drip I was so poorly and baby is now a healthy 5 year old!

I had severe food poisoning literally days after conception 19 years ago (didn't know I was pregnant obv) and all was well. Hope you're feeling better soon

Dont worry OP, baby will take everything they need :) I had hyperemesis from 5 weeks and until 20 weeks couldn't stomach anything other than dry toast and I lost 12 kilos in this time. I'm now 37 weeks with a healthy baby that's tracking fine growth charts etc. They are so resilient.
