6 weeks measuring 4 weeks, Need Advice

So, I had an ultrasound yesterday and I was said to be measuring 4 weeks, but I know that I'm 6 weeks today based on my lmp. It was a very small empty sac. I've had regular periods my whole life. My lmp was July 5, implantation bleeding on July 23rd.

I had implantation bleeding with my last pregnancy. I've never spotted in between periods other than when I was pregnant. I have no bleeding at the moment but the only pregnancy symptom that I do have is cramps and frequent urination. With my last pregnancy, I had sore breast and other symptoms before I even missed my period. Im also breastfeeding my 9 month old once a day, so shouldnt i have atleast sore breasts? my cycle is still normal despite the fact that i breastfeed .

i think the pregnancy isnt viable but my husband thinks that im overreacting, but i KNOW my body.

has anyone had a similiar experience, how did it turn out? I'm dying to know but have to wait 2 weeks for another scan.

I should also point out that i had a ultrasound with my first pregnancy at 5 weeks and the sac wasnt empty or measuring small.

I’ve been in the same position as you and sadly, I started bleeding a couple of days later and miscarried. I’ve heard of loads of people who went back for another scan two weeks later and had good news though so it really might be okay! I think you’ll just need to wait it out and maybe have another scan if nothing changes over the next two weeks.
I’m now 30 weeks pregnant after that loss and this pregnancy was very straight forward.

Sorry @nicolaab. I was in a similar position before and it wasn’t good news. For my previous pregnancy I had a scan at 6.5 weeks and they couldn't see anything but a tiny sac and I knew my dates couldn’t be that wrong. LO actually grew and at 8.5 weeks was measuring about 6 and a bit with a HB, but stopped growing at around this time and I miscarried at 10 weeks. I read a lot of forums back then and it seems that a few days behind is usually not a problem but more than that likely indicates an issue. I’ve seen some stories where it turned out okay but usually with irregular periods/post MC pregnancies, not regular cycles like mine for example. I’m now 12 weeks with the new pregnancy and have been measuring as expected this time, I hope it works out either way for you x
