Hi all,

I'm 13 weeks today and I am still feeling absolutely horrendous. Nauseous, tired, headachy. All the usual first trimester fun. I'm so fed up and I feel like it's sucking all the excitement out of this pregnancy.

Can someone please share some positivity with me? Please tell me it's almost over for me 😩😂

I started feeling better around 15 weeks, hopefully you'll be the same!

Mine ended with a bang at 15 weeks. I had one particular weekend that was the absolute worst I’d felt and I was so worried it would never end but then it just did, literally overnight! Just think any day now might be the last day you’ll feel like this. And if you’re anything like me then you’ll worry why the symptoms have stopped! Its all normal :)

It's not just me then! I'm 15 weeks... I seem to have a couple of bad days then a couple of good days, so it's not quite as bad as the first trimester when it was every day. But whenever I think the sickness has finally gone, it comes back with a vengeance the next day! It's like some horrible form of torture. I'm still waiting for the glowing, lots of energy 2nd trimester feeling I keep hearing about and I just don't think it's going to happen. Fingers crossed it ends soon for both of us!

I was gutted when I got to 13 weeks and the terrible nausea was still there! I started feeling better about week 15 too and now at 30 weeks the nausea feels like it was years ago, hope you start feeling better by week 15 too!

My first pregnancy nothing, this pregnancy since week 5/6 iv had nausea everyday pretty much all day. It eased at week 9 thinking wooo its gone then came back around week 11. Now i am going on 16 weeks and still have the occasional dry heave in the garden at 7am. Mainly due to the kitchen/dog. BUT its really not as bad as the first trimester. I could barely eat, felt exhausted all the time and couldnt even stomach folic acid or vitamins.

However, saying that I have to take asprin and i took one this morning with a cuppa tea and threw the tea back up into the cup .... ITS SOOO MUCH FUN MAKING PEOPLE . But i cant wait to see those tiny toes and fingers... only 60000 million days to go haha

16 weeks was the turning point for me. I was on my knees by then, but the relief once the nausea lifted was incredible, and I actually quite enjoyed weeks 16-28. There's light at the end of the tunnel, just hang on!!!

I felt the same as you until about 16 weeks. Now nearly in my 3rd trimester and absolutely love being pregnant at the moment. That 1st tri was awful for all those reasons, but this bit for me at least is so lovely. You get to feel baby moving around and kicking, seeing your tummy move around and grow, it's a really lovely phase you're about to enter. Just keep reminding yourself it won't last forever (and probably not much longer now at all) and soon it will just be a memory.

I was dry heaving and vomiting hourly until about 16 weeks. Still had nausea until almost the end of my 2nd trimester but nowhere near as bad. Just the occasional dry heave. It came back a bit towards the end but that was mainly the reflux

Everyone is different. You might end up fine. I've been on and off sick the entire pregnancy. I've also had bad sciatica, indigestion and heart burn. Always tired and I'm now 31 weeks 😂

Pinktruffle · 16/08/2022 10:36

Hopefully it will ease for you. I had it till week 15 in my first pregnancy and it went on till week 20 in my second and current pregnancy. Both times, once it subsided I felt pretty great..... until the 'joys' of third trimester hit....

Go to your GP and ask for cyclizine.

I suffered through to 16 weeks before getting it, and wish I'd gone sooner. Absolute game changer.
