So baby has been pretty active since early in the pregnancy. I have been in a few times for reduced movements but she always perks up on the monitor.
Last night she went wild for about ten mins, really shape shifting in there and on the underside of my bump I think her head/shoulders was stretching out, my bump was all over the place. Then today all day her movements have been different, not as strong. Had the odd big one but just not the same as has been.
Went in for monitoring tonight and they said she's fine, apparently lovely accelerations on the machine. I could hear movements but barely feel any.

Does this sound like she has changed positions and that's what she was doing last night ?

They want me to go back in tomorrow for monitoring but I already have a Doppler scan booked in for Wednesday due to gestational diabetes and a slight drop in her growth (apparently she's massive though)

Hey OP

i would say any worries about movements contact your pregnancy unit now, don't wait until
tomorrow

Yes, don't hesitate with reduced movements. Better to check I'd say. Hopefully all is well, the odds are it is. ❤️

@secretnames hi, I've already been in tonight, I am feeling her, just differently and I did explain all this to the midwife's but they said the trace was lovely.

From what you've described it does sound like she could have changed her position. If you're have been monitored and will be again shortly I think it's up to you to decide if you're happy with that.

If at any point you have even the slightest feeling of not being entirely sure...call back and go back in, that's what they're there for, and they'd always rather see you and everything be fine, than the alternative x

This happens to me as well - the movements are there but weaker and less frequent. I’ve been in for monitoring lots of times now, and having twice weekly scheduled monitoring as growth rate has reduced.

It’s really hard to know what to do and whether to go in or not when this is basically your baby’s pattern. But if I get to the point that I feel worried I’d rather err on the side of caution.
