In hospital with cramping and bleeding

This was my rainbow baby as I had 3 miscarriages before this.
I JUST spoke to my dr today and they said my HCG doubled and everything seemed great.
I have period like cramps
And lots of bleeding...
I guess there is no hope, is there?

They couldn't see anything on ultrasound...but my HCG was 282 on Friday and now it's 1,056
I just don't know what to do. Anyone?

Hey @Ladybug4023, so sorry to hear this. I'm around the 5 week mark, first pregnancy, and started bleeding last night. It's got heavier today and my tests are almost negative.

Sorry I can't give any comfort on what the outcome may be, but I wanted to give you a virtual hand hold x

I imagine they are concerned it is an ectopic

I've had the same thing as of Friday. HCG was 535 the Friday before, and on Tuesday I started cramping and bleeding - HCG was 2070, doubled nicely so they were cautiously optimistic. Unfortunately by Friday it had plummeted and I'm not miscarrying my first IVF baby after 3 previous natural miscarriages.

It sucks. It hurts. I don't know how people like us are meant to survive this emotional hurt. I hope in your case you're one of the lucky ones and everything is okay. And I hope if it's not, that you find a way to be ok and that you eventually have that baby in your arms.

I miscarried previously at 5 weeks and 6 days. Cramping and very heavy bleeding. 2 days later it resulted in a MC.

My sister was bleeding and there was nothing on the scan at 7 weeks, went back at 8 and she's now got a 7 year old girl!

On a positive note, I did go on to have a healthy baby girl, and conceived 6 weeks later. Prayers and hugs ❤️

@MamaH22, thanks for sharing such positive outcomes ☺️ can I ask if your sister tested during that time? I've come to terms with what's happening for me, but just interested.

Yes, she was a big tester like myself. It still showed positive!

How's the bleeding so far?

When I MC, I didn't have loads of pain. Just the odd cramp.

I'm praying this is a good outcome for you. I'd do a test either tomorrow or the next day! Then you'll know xx

@MamaH22 thank you so much for coming back ❤️ the bleeding is like a heavy period, pad change every few hours or so. A few smaller clots too and definite cramps... my test progression was pretty non existent, but I did keep getting 'pregnant' on the CB digital one... we've made peace with it, I'm certain it wasn't meant to be this time - very sad and hard, but these things make us stronger.

A key thing for me is everyone is different, there's no right or wrong way to handle this, so be kind to yourself and take things at your own pace.
