Blood test

I went to my GP last week feeling unwell, dizzy and tired and she took a blood test which came back as low folate and she prescribed me folic acid.
Still feeling unwell today my friend suggested I do a pregnancy test, which is positive.
Now I'm thinking did my GP know I was pregnant and thought I knew and thats why she prescribed folic acid. Would a blood test detect I am pregnant? The only blood test I can see that she did is iron, b vitamins and diabetic.

No, GP wouldn't have known from just those tests. GP would have had to have tested for beta hcg to tell if you were pregnant from that blood test.

Low folate treatment is for Folic acid to be prescribed. I would contact your GP practice as it is a much higher dose , was in my DD's case than what was is suggested for pregnancy. I am not sure if that is an issue but do check.
