I’m 33 weeks and my baby was head down but now she’s transverse! I’m so scared I’ll need a c section I’m terrified of them. Can my baby still turn head down at this late stage? How can I help her to turn?

Jean Sutton is fab on this.

My baby moved from transverse to head down at around 33 weeks. I did some exercises on my birthing ball and tried to correct my posture when sitting, not slouching.

You can check out spinning babies website as well, I spent a lot of time hanging off a bed trying to turn a breech baby! She did turn but I did a few things, hard to know what helped.

Do you all suppose it matters if she’s facing up or down with her chance to turn? She’s facing up so is she likely turn backwards

You still have several weeks for the baby to turn!

My back to back breech baby remained back to back after he turned to head down, so it is a possibility.

Being 33 weeks means there's still time for the baby to move. It's after 36 weeks baby is less likely to turn, but it's still pretty common even so! My own turned at (I think) 36+5. But he is a second baby, and 2nd+ babies are more likely to turn later.

You've already been given lots of great links for how to try to turn baby. So I would say to address your fear of C-sections.

What do you find so terrifying about them? NGL I really didn't want one, but I wasn't frightened about having one if I needed one. Which I eventually did.

Mine turned past 40 weeks (while I was in a swimming pool) (he was over 10lb at birth) and 37 weeks (after acupuncture) and that one had been breech and engaged since before third trimester.
The idea they run out of room to move is rubbish.

Mine was transverse. C section was calm and safe. Like a dream!

I have no regrets. Transverse baby did change my bodyshape though
