All I've done is get dressed and I had to keep sitting on the bed having breaks 😆 I'm 31+5 and this week I've really started feeling it. Struggling to breath at times, feel uncomfortable, so so drained, it's effort to walk from one room to another let alone accomplish the stairs, they're like Everest !

Not just me is it ??

Girl, I feel like this and I'm 15 weeks!

My sympathy and admiration goes to anyone in the third trimester in this heat.

CurlyNo2 · 13/08/2022 12:20

Absolutely! I’m only 25 weeks and I am struggling to climb the stairs. I’ve a 6 year old with an endless amounts of energy that just wants to play and I feel so guilty

BallyAllyBuzzyBee · 13/08/2022 12:21

Have you had your bloods checked recently? I had this during my last pregnancy, could barely walk the length of myself without puffing and panting. Turns out I was border line anaemic, got medication and began to feel better after a week or so. Maybe worth mentioning to your midwife.

I am 30 weeks and I am literally wiped out cos of this heat. Can't wait for it to be cooler next week

Cockerwalk · 13/08/2022 12:23

Same as @BallyAllyBuzzyBee - I felt exactly how you’ve described and was anaemic at 28 week bloods. Now 30 weeks and still feel a bit like that but not as bad, which I think must be to do with the extra iron.

TFMinx · 13/08/2022 12:33

I'm 27 weeks, currently prescribed iron, yet still the exhaustion is hitting me like a brick wall. I was up at 6am with 4yo DS then was having a nap by 10. No doubt I'll have another nap this afternoon too. Going to have my iron level checked again in two weeks to see if the ferrous sulphate is work or if I'll need an infusion.

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 13/08/2022 13:10

I had them checked at 28 weeks and presume all was okay as didn't hear anything back ? I will mention it again though as you never know ! I do have gestational diabetes not sure if that could be contributing to it ?
Just had a nap, didn't want to get up !!

Still absolutely shattered all the time !!
No energy, it seems to come in bursts when I do get some but is very short lived. I'm struggling to do anything with my ds which is making me feel so guilty 🙁
Also uncomfortable now alot ! My pubic bone feels so sore too!
Is it normal to feel this way by now? I'm 32+4

26 weeks here and I'm really struggling with the stairs and I have 6 flights to walk up in my other pregnancies I never struggled like this. I've even started to need a nap in the afternoon or I can't function.

redlou123 · 19/08/2022 10:59

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow and was doing fine energy-wise etc until 32 weeks, when it just hit me all of a sudden. Since then, I am getting exhausted doing little things and need to rest so much more than I did. Sleeping has also become much more difficult which only makes the exhaustion in the day worse. My midwife said it is normal to start to feel it a lot more at this stage as the baby is growing so much, it puts a big strain on your body. Obviously worthwhile getting checked out in case anything is wrong (iron levels etc) but for me, it just seems like it's just third trimester tiredness.

Lilbunnyfufu · 19/08/2022 15:08

I found out today I have gestational diabetes and the midwife said that's why I'm so tired.
