Third pregnancy very different?

I am currently roughly 6-7 weeks with my 3rd (very unplanned) pregnancy.

With DC1 and 2 I was almost at deaths door at this point, followed shortly by hyperemesis kicking in at 8-9 weeks.

With this one I had bad symptoms 2 weeks ago, nausea, feeling constantly starving and tired. The symptoms vanished a few days later and nothing has reappeared. I’m not sick, feel fine and don’t even have sore boobs. I feel better each day rather than worse. I’ve had no bleeding or cramps but I don’t feel pregnant at all.

I had an internal scan 2 weeks ago to check it wasn’t ectopic as I had lots of pain and there was a yolk sac and possibly a fetal pole but no heartbeat seen. I’ve spent the past 2 weeks feeling like something is very wrong with no evidence for the way I feel. I have a rescan next week but it’s really stressing me out, I feel like I need to know either way.

Can a pregnancy be so so different the second or third time compared to the first? Or honestly should I prepare for the worst?

I’m only 8 weeks with my third but this pregnancy is definitely different. I had no sickness at all with my first two but feel dreadful this time! Do you have another scan booked in?
I had a scan last week as all my symptoms had faded and I had a few days when I didn’t feel pregnant, everything was great though and my sickness has come back even worse the last couple of days x

@Nancy155 I have another next week to check if it’s progressed, I just thought the higher the hormone levels the worst the symptoms so I’m presuming because I feel better maybe the levels are dropped. Maybe I’m completely wrong on this though.

Im sorry your feeling awful, it’s the worst!

hi everyone, so this is my 3rd pregnancy but had a miscarriage in November last year! I went to what I thought would be my 12 week scan on 5th august to find out that was one empty sac and the other sac had the tiniest dot in it so at that point they didn’t know whether it was a bleed or intrauterine twin pregnancy so asked me to go back in 10 days time. Today was the day I went back to be told the empty sac was actually a bleed and the the other sac with the little dot had doubled in size from the last time I went but could not detect a heartbeat so I now have to go back in a weeks time for another scan to see if it has grown enough for the pregnancy to be viable. It seems my dates have been mixed up but my last period was on 13th May I did bleed a little after intercourse twice early July and had brownish discharge! I am just confused with the dates, have I conceived again since before, has anyone gone through anything similar and had a successful pregnancy? I don’t get why it’s grown but not detected a heartbeat but I might not be as far on as I think? Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance

This is my 2nd pregnancy, currently 16 weeks.
1st pregnancy had nausea/sickness until week 14.
This time, felt fine for first 13 weeks but last 3 weeks have been sick every single night before bed. Hoping it doesn't last the whole pregnancy and I'm not enjoying it and have a 1 year old to look after

@3ormoredogs I hate dragging up
old threads but on the chance you’re still about, how did the rest of your pregnancy go?

I’m roughly 5 weeks pregnant with number 3 and if not for positive tests and lack of period I wouldn’t even believe for a second I was pregnant. I was sick every single day multiple times by this point with both my other 2 so I’m finding this all very strange.

I know there’s still time for symptoms to kick in but like you said it makes you feel a little worried. Did another test today because I still can’t quite compute it and it was a total
due stealer so definitely pregnant 😅

@L00k4m3x It turned out my pregnancy was fine. DC3 is currently crawling around as we speak!

I had no morning sickness or symptoms at all through pregnancy it was very strange! No sickness, heartburn…nothing. Also had the easiest birth (6mins delivery) and a very very chilled out baby, the opposite to DC2 who was a 10 hour labour and a hard newborn! I decided that my body had been pregnant so many times it was used to it 😄

I really hope yours is the same and everything goes smoothly!

My 3rd pregnancy was completely different experience to the other 2. I was basically bedridden with hypermesis until
about 20 weeks and was then floored with anemia and needed infusions. My labour was also the longest of the 3 as well.. so yeah, a very difficult experience overall after the 1st two being very smooth sailing with very quick labours.
