I like the look of these but can't decide what's the difference between the stomp v3 and v4?

We have the V4-
Pro's:
Reasonable price
Great for bundle deals
Small frame
Easy open and close
Nice colourways

Con's-
Quite bulky folded up
Not very good suspension (for woodland walks)
Car seat is AWFUL to get in and out of car

For the price I think it's a great especially with all the different attachments!

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 12/08/2022 16:14

@Sunflower1471 thank you. What is the suspension like just on normal terrain ?
And how is the basket size ? I don't drive and plan to do alot of walking to lose baby weight so basket size is quite important to me

The suspension is not bad at all on normal terrain! The basket size is reasonable deep-i can fit my shopping in there. I would also look into a baby carrier-they are amazing for daily walks and it's like a weighted walk to help loose a bit of weight

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 12/08/2022 17:10

@Sunflower1471 oh that's good then. You can't quite tell on the pics how big it is !
Good shout for the carrier, any you would recommend ?

We have the Ergobaby carrier, which I absolutely love but there are many others which are equally as good (and slightly cheaper)

Starry77 · 13/08/2022 06:14

We have the V3, got it in bundle deal and it’s been amazing! Baby is now 17 months and it’s done us so well. We live in the country and it’s been great in fields, rough paths, woodland walks and also normal walks in the city.

basket is a great size for shopping and storing stuff on walks. The material on pram cleans really easily for when your at the messy toddler stage.

we had one wheel change on a back wheel but it was easy to order a replacement online and very cheap.

fantastic pram for the money.

im pregnant again so we will be moving to a double buggy otherwise I would have continued using the V3.

PutOnAHappyFace · 13/08/2022 06:17

We have the V3 from what I remember the difference is you can get the v4 in different colours and the hood is a different material because people didn't like it. I couldn't justify £100 extra for those changes. I actually love this pram, DD is 14 months and it's been great.

PutOnAHappyFace · 13/08/2022 06:19

Also we had problems with the car seat and Google says loads of people have the same problem. We emailed a video to the company and they explained we just needed to extend the base. Never had issues again so it was 100% user error.

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 13/08/2022 06:37

Ahh thank you. I did go ahead and order the v3, I did read about the hood issues and that it was flimsy ? What did you guys make of it ?

PutOnAHappyFace · 13/08/2022 07:03

I honestly didn't mind the hood, I liked the fact you could lift one side up so it's on a angle. DD is my fourth so I've had a few prams and I honestly love it.

Enjoy using it with your tiny newborn, it's such a lovely stage.

Ebonyhorse · 13/08/2022 07:05

If you want a huge basket get the oyster pram! Amazing

Abcdefu · 13/08/2022 07:07

I have the v4. Its a great pram. Our apron did rip but ickle bubba replaced it promptly with no issues. I think it came.with a 4 year guarantee?

We also have no issue putting the car seat in but it is heavy In comparison to other car seats

Starry77 · 13/08/2022 07:16

I love the hood! It’s great cos it’s so light and on sunny days you can have one side pulled higher than the other.

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 13/08/2022 08:29

What do you mean the hood can be pulled up at one side ? I did watch the video but it was a while ago now

OP posts:
Starry77 · 13/08/2022 08:50

The hood is just really flexible so it can be pulled higher at one side than the other, really hard to explain on a message.

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 15/08/2022 11:51

So I ordered the V3 and it isn't due to be delivered until mid October which is no good so having to cancel!!

Does anyone know what the V2 is like ? I've got £450 to spend so on a budget !

CurlyNo2 · 15/08/2022 19:02

Smyths have the V3 on offer in store at the minute for £449. I’m really confused about what pram to get.

I had a mothercare orb pram with my son and I hated it, so trying to choose wisely this time.

Butterscotchbaby · 15/08/2022 20:41

We ordered the v3 from smyths too as its on offer at the moment! It really is a lovely system ! Cant wait to use it with my baby

thunderonlyhappenswhenits · 15/08/2022 22:42

Yeah I saw that on Smyths and was about to order but had a quick look on online4baby first and found another one. It's the Joie chrome, for the £470 bundle I got the whole travel system plus a travel cot, high chair and bouncer
