Pregnancy test maybe fainted?

Hello!

I am currently 4+2w pregnant.

I did a test at 4w (top test) and was shocked at how dark the T line was. I have done one today and it looks a little fainter to me at 4+2 (bottom test). Is this likely to be a bad sign?

I had a CP last June and a MC in March at 8w so very on edge this time just waiting to bleed again ! 😢 xx

It was meant to say fainter in title! 🙈 sorry

They’re very similar and the slight difference will likely just be down to concentration of hormones in your wee, due to how hydrated you are/exact time of day/ l

Last wee before this one etc. I know it’s hard not to worry but this isn’t a bad sign 🙂

I hope not. I don’t even know why I took another one. I took SO many with my last pregnancy and it still didn’t work out anyway so no idea why I thought I’d get any benefit or reassurance from testing twice 😩 I think my last tests were fainter than this at 4w2d tho so fingers crossed 🤞🏼 xx

I was s serial tester when I got my positive and I did have a few freak outs when one test would look fainter than the one from the day before. I'm now 15 weeks.

Your tests look similar to me and both look nice and dark. My advice would be to stop regular testing, as hard as it is. I felt a lot better once I'd stopped obsessing over test lines.

@Laurakiaora thank you for your response.

i agree! I always promised after my last pregnancy and the fact I did them daily and spent ages crying to only go on and MC anyway I’d Never do it again and then I went and did a second 🙈🙈

I’ve convinced myself when I hit 12 weeks the anxiety will go but I’ll find a new worry then no doubt ! 🥴 hope you’re feeling ok and pregnancy is going
well! Xx

@Rainbowchasing2022

I totally understand. I had a loss before this baby and the first few weeks were wrought with anxiety and worry. I would check for blood every time I wiped or felt damp and every minor cramp was terrifying. It was miserable and exhausting. Since seeing this baby on scans (I've had three so far) that has subsided a lot but never completely goes away.

I wish you all the luck. And congratulations! :)

Rainbowchasing2022 · 12/08/2022 18:52

@Laurakiaora thank you!

i agree it is such a worrying time. Relate so much to the damp thing 🙈 constantly running to the toilet. I have cramp quite often too but it’s mild so hopefully nothing to worry about.

I did think about booking an early scan this time, but I did it last time and seen the baby with a HB and then still went on to lose so don’t even think that will offer any reassurance for me. Just going to be a looooong time! 🤣 xx

They look similar and I don’t think I’d worry too much. With my third I had a fairly strong line at 10 DPO, retested 12 DPO and the line was so much paler, I convinced myself I was losing it (I’d also had a chemical pregnancy and miscarriage prior to that). But 14 DPO I retested and it was back to a tiny bit darker than 10 DPO, and all was fine, DD is nearly 2 now.

Rainbowchasing2022 · 13/08/2022 08:35

@RoseGoldEagle thank you.

I won’t try and retest now because may just cause more worry. Wish I didn’t even take the second. I must have took about 20 on my last pregnancy 🙈 I was obsessed with testing but the lines would vary so much and I’d be heartbroken.

I think I just feel like this one surely can’t go right if my body failed at this twice before. I feel like I’ll never actually get a baby at the end of it all!

So glad all worked out for you though 😍 xx
