Food poisoning?

22 weeks pregnant and left the fridge door ajar last night! Everything felt cool to the touch and I did a sniff test. Used a drop of milk and had yoghurt with my fruit. Stupidly!!

I have just thrown it all up an hour later. Should I be worried? Is this dangerous for baby?

I think it’s only listeria from dairy products that could be dangerous but very unlikely that your milk and yoghurt were contaminated with it. If they just gone off a bit, I think that should be fine. Not to mention that real food poisoning takes some time to brew, so I think all chances you are absolutely fine. But give your gp a call for advice and reassurance as it will come from someone qualified. Also, have you been throwing up since?

@lillipilli thank you for the reassurance. No, I’ve been completely fine ever since 🤷🏼‍♀️

That's a good sign, still, a call to GP might help. I know it is a bit of a pain at the moment but either call or do an electronic form, you will sleep better for that xx

Milk and yoghurts are pasteurised so it's highly unlikely there would be any issues. It didn't taste sour so it would be fine. Call your midwife or 111 for reassurance. The Gp would need to give you a later call back so quite a long delay. 111 are the quickest and have access to experts.
