Hello,

im so confused got a letter from hospital after my antenatal blood tests and it said your recent blood samples were invalid and unable to be processed therefore it has been rejected I would like to apologise on behalf of the trust and have enclosed another blood form.

does this mean they found something dodgy and want them redone or is this a genuine like admin error? As a 9 week pregnant lady I am worrying like mad lol haven’t had that before lol

reassurance?

I'm sure it is probably because they didn't get enough blood or they sent them to the lab too late or something.

When I had a problem with some of my bloods, the mw called me and told me what was wrong and asked me to come in and repeat them.

It means there was something wrong with the processing, too coagulated, not enough blood, not labelled correctly etc...

They haven't tested the blood so haven't found anything dodgy.

I work in this area... it will 100% be because they were literally unable to process it or it was mislabelled.

If it was because there was something dodgy and you needed a retest or further investigations we call you and tell you :)
