When did you stop progesterone pesseries?

Hi 👋
I'm currently 11 weeks pregnant and been sick every day...morning, noon and night for 5 weeks 😔
I wasn't this bad with my DD (10 years ago!)
I'm on progesterone pesseries twice a day and I'm sure they're making my pregnancy symptoms worse.

When is it safe to stop taking them? Tia x

I wouldn't stop using them until you're advised to. I know it's horrible feeling rubbish but they'll be so worth it in the long run! I've been on them since 6 weeks and have been told to stay on them until 20 weeks. 😭

I stopped at 11 weeks because I was fed up with them too and reading around online I couldn’t find anything saying they have any impact after 10. Nausea for me stopped at about 13 weeks so I don’t think there was a connection, but at least it was one less thing to deal with when I was feeling terrible.

Can you call/email your doctor to check?

I got advised to wean myself off them by my consultant so started taking them every other day at about 13+4, stopping them entirely at around 15 weeks. Now 17+2, saw baby last week on a scan and all was good!

I wouldn't stop taking them until you have spoken to your midwife/consultant but I always thought the rational is you take them until the placenta has largely taken over.
